Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman welcomed the arrival of a baby daughter on Monday morning (July 7) in Nashville. They named her Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, and she weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces. Urban was at the hospital when the baby was born. He performed a stadium concert in Nashville on Saturday night (July 5) with Kenny Chesney. Urban and Kidman were married in 2006, and this is their first child together.

Shortly after little Sunday Urban was born, people began to question what exactly the name means. Well, according to Australia’s Daily Telegraph, Nicole Kidman’s dad, Antony Kidman, claims it was he and his wife’s idea. "I have read a bit about Sunday Reed and her husband John — she was a key mover and shaker in the arts around the beginning of the century," he said. The name Sunday struck him as being a nice name for a woman, so he mentioned it to Nicole and Keith. Sunday Reed had a relationship with the artist Sidney Nolan, and when Nicole visited a Nolan exhibit, it featured a quote from the artist about birth:  "When you are young you are given a good view of life, because of your closeness to birth." That reportedly was the clincher to name the baby Sunday. The middle name Rose is in honor of Keith's late grandmother.

But, according to the New York Daily News, one of the biggest orders of flowers came from Tom Cruise. "Tom was one of the first people to get in touch and he sent her enough flowers to fill a room," said a source. A handwritten note was also sent to the couple from the Prime Minister of Australia.
