Stoney Richards’ bio is an ongoing project. Past achievements are just that. To be up to date, listen daily to his afternoon radio program from 3 to 7 p.m. on Y108. There, you will be given moment-to-moment updates on his progress. When listening to his show, the audience is advised that there is to be no picture-taking, taping or video recording and that all characters, whether fictional or real, are owned and become the sole property of the Richards estate. Seriously, Stoney, in addition to being heard every afternoon from 3-7 on Y108, can be seen in recent movies and television as well. On TV he's worked as an actor in hit series like the Bob Newhart Show, St. Elsewhere, 227 and numerous made for TV Movies of the Week like Liberace on ABC and Tracey Thurman: A Cry for Help and most recently on the hit CBS show The Guardian. On the "big screen" Stoney has done a load of feature films including work with Paul Hogan in Almost an Angel, Eddie Murphy in Best Defense, Arnold Schwarzenegger in Red Heat, Tom Hanks in Punchline and Bill Paxton in Predator 2. On stage he was part of the Olympic Arts Festival in Los Angeles in 1984, the award winning New Playwrights Theatre in Washgington D.C. and "Practice" Off- Broadway in New York. He can also be heard on several radio commercials (Andretti Toyota). On TV he'a appeared in commercials both national and local. He is the Ref in the commercial for Heinz field that has been on for the past few years as well as another for the Pennsylvania Lottery. On the radio, in addditon to his daily show on Y108, he's also hosted national shows like American Country Countdown and the George Strait special for Westwood One.
